<L'ecrit par Matthew>

<Entry by Sean>

I thought that I'd stay with the aqua colour background in keeping the theme of water, or 'wet' to be more precise. Il pleut. Il pleut beaucoup. It is wet and cold here right now. I have the image of a warm beach and hot sun in my head that must be satisfied by reality before this trip is over. We must head South, that is where the warmer weather is, or so I've been told.

Sean's family here are absolutely wonderful. The house is incredible. Last night I had my first really decent night's sleep. Only in Paris, or at least a few km outside of Paris. Here are a few photos of his family over here.

The second photo is of Joanna and Jeremy. <ahhhh...>)

Here I am in Paris just to prove that I was really there. And there's also a photo of me at the family kitchen table looking rather pensive.

oct0405t.jpg (5425 bytes)This was funny.   We were walking around Paris and quite suddenly about a thousand (I joke not) roller-bladers, complete with police escort suddenly start down the street!.  Weird

oct0406t.jpg (6374 bytes)This is a cool photo of inside Notre Dame.  Today was a Sunday, so we even got to see the mass and so forth. Unfortunately the line for getting up to the top of the towers was incredibly long, so we will have to try it tomorrow.

Didier took this photo below of Sean without the benifit of any optical tricks. Sean is looking really rough with all the wine he has been drinking. Actually, of course, the photo was shot through the bottom of a glass. This is a most familiar sight for most Frenchmen (joking ;-).(Except, of course, when it is full of wine --   which is always.)

(I also spent some time on the phone contacting Katia, PaulC, and Shannon and Dave.  I hope to have dinner with Paul and Katia tomorrow, and then maybe have a rendez-vous with DnS in Italy sometime next week!)
