Foiled!

I tried to make it to Pompeii, but I was foiled by the combination of the Italian train system and Sunday. My train was late, and then Sunday cut down the number of trains to Pompei, such that I could not make it :(

Instead, I wandered around Rome - walking all the way from the Vatican to the train station. It was very cool and I am starting to feel more comfortable with Rome :)

I returned to Monteporzio, took a nap and prepared for another attempt tomorrow :)
