October was a pretty slow month, especially when compared to all the other months of this year. Ofcourse slow doesn't mean that nothing happened :-)
The first big news is that my friend Heather Smith married andbecame Heather Denney. Here is a photo of the happy couple.
Aren't they just soooo adorable.
I love Jeff's expression on thisphoto as they cut the cake.
And here is that monster cake. It wasan amazing thing. The theme was Disney, which worked for me, andHeather even had Mickey Mouse ears and a veil for the reception.Very cool.
The next event was a Jumbalassy party. My friends Tom andBrenda invited Dave and I to
Well, we got to talking and Jill has always wanted to goskydiving, and me too! Another friend had bailed on going withme, so we dove out of plane. We did a tandem jump (there is aninstructor snapped to your harness behind you) from 12,000 ft. Itwas a minute of free fall, and then a few minutes of a canopyride. Very cool and very windy. I really want to do it again. Allin all, tho, I think that Bungy jumping is scarier, but shorter.
The last thing in October is Halloween. This year I gotinvited by Clint and Michele to go with a bunch of their friendsto the Masquerade Ball at the Seattle Art Museum. Jumbalassy wasplaying again, so I jumped right in. Sadly, tho, Michele had torun to Southern California on Halloween because of a death in thefamily. I went to the party with all of their friends, which wassort of weird because I didn't know anyone else. It was great, and they were a lot of fun!
