Another big week! First, our friend Laura turned 30, which we celebrated by eating way too much sushi and drinking more sake than was good for us.

Then it was Laurie's first Mother's Day! Her mom and dad came! Kate said, "ma-ma-ma" for the first time to celebrate!

Laurie took a few too many photos of Kate in her diaper on the green carpet in her room.

We all went to Gymboree.

And then we bit off a little more than we could chew in renovating the laundry room. Ashot cut out the moldy wall (it had black mold - that's bad, right?) Ashot removed the old sink, which was miraculously made of concrete and weighed more than you'd expect. Laurie managed to move in the laundry sink and re-plumb it, even though that gaping hole is still there next to it. It did cover up that unpainted patch of wall, though, so that's cool. The bottom line: the washer and dryer are now snuggling together, the sink works, and our baby sure looks cute in it.
